The decorative design helps integrate a locking fastener with the look of the wheel. Read the decorative security fastener patent, U.S. Patent No. 12,188,512. Available stainless steel and black finish options vary by listing. A wheel lock is a theft deterrent, not a guarantee against theft.

The original article reported the following laboratory tests. They are historical product-development examples, not new testing or installation settings for your vehicle.
- Torque-tension testing: 20 cycles at 150 Nm and 10 RPM, reported as consistent through all 20 cycles.
- Impact-wrench testing: 100 cycles up to 180 Nm, reported as still serviceable after 100 installations.
- Salt-spray testing: 840 hours, reported as showing no corrosion damage in that test.
Laboratory salt-spray exposure is not a conversion to years of road use. ASTM’s salt-spray guidance explains that results alone do not reliably predict performance in natural environments. These historical test examples do not establish a service-life guarantee or a recommended installation torque.

Installation, removal and warranty
Follow the instructions supplied with your Patented SECURELOK set and your vehicle’s torque specification. Keep the matching key available for tire changes and service. If you need help with the key or removal procedure, contact Threadstrong before attempting removal.
Threadstrong recommends hand installation and removal, with final tightening to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque using a torque wrench. Impact-wrench installation can damage the product and void the one-year limited warranty.
