Ford F-150 Factory-Wheel Lug Nuts: Buying Checklist

For an F-150 with factory wheels, start with the exact vehicle and wheel application, then choose the finish, design and pack quantity. Threadstrong’s F-150 product page lists several options; the selected option determines what you receive.

This is a buying checklist, not blanket fitment approval for every F-150. Use the current F-150 listing and vehicle search, and read the full application notes. If the wheels or studs have changed, or the listing does not clearly cover your combination, ask Threadstrong before ordering or installing.

Record the complete F-150 model

Include the model year, trim and whether the vehicle is an F-150, F-150 Lightning or F-150 Raptor. Do not transfer a fitment conclusion between those names or between different wheel configurations. Threadstrong’s vehicle fitment information is based on original-equipment (OEM/factory) wheels. Aftermarket wheels require confirmation before purchase.

Read the specification and the selected option together

The linked F-150 product lists an M14x1.5 thread and a 21 mm socket size. Those are specifications for that product, not proof that it fits any vehicle with matching threads. The wheel seat, dimensions and complete application still need to match. See why thread size alone does not establish fit.

Black, stainless finish or flag design?

The black-titled F-150 listing includes the following option groups when checked on October 28, 2026. Confirm the selected option and current availability on the product page before ordering.

Option label Listed quantities What to check
Black 4 or 24 Choose the quantity needed for your replacement plan.
Stainless 24 This is a different finish option on the same listing.
Black Flag or Stainless Flag 4 or 24 Confirm both the design and finish.
Four option cards with product photos: Black, Stainless, Black Flag and Stainless Flag. Option labels, not material claims; check current availability.

These are option labels, not claims that the complete nut is solid stainless steel. Threadstrong’s capped wheel nuts use a steel base nut with a stainless steel cap. Read the construction details when comparing materials.

Will a small pack or full set suit your plan?

A four-piece pack replaces fewer fasteners than a 24-piece option. Count what you intend to replace and confirm the application of every fastener. If retaining existing locks or replacing spare-wheel hardware, account for those separately rather than assuming a standard set includes them. A quantity match does not confirm fitment.

Plan for installation and future service

Keep the product instructions with the purchase and give them to your service provider. Threadstrong recommends hand installation and removal, with final tightening using a torque wrench to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque. Follow the applicable tightening sequence and recheck procedure. The installation guide provides supporting information; it does not replace the instructions for your exact vehicle and product.
